Addition to an Addition

 

Located in Beverly Hills, California, on a site adjacent to a former "Case Study" era house first designed in the early fifties by Donald Polsky (a former associate of Richard Neutra) and more recently in 1984 by the Smith-Miller + Hawkinson Office, this project tests the idea of an "additive and negotiated" design in lieu of a formal compositional process.
