Smith-Miller + Hawkinson Architects, in collaboration with Ralph Lerner Architect PC, D.I.R.T. Studio and The Sam Schwartz Company were retained by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation to produce a Public Realm Improvement Strategy that focuses on the financial district in Lower Manhattan. The study looked at both short-term enhancements and long-term strategies for improving the quality of open public space in Lower Manhattan.
